Click. Read. Love. 11.22.24
A little dose of sadness and small acts of resistance, plus lots of great links from the week.
It’s a cold rainy day in Vermont and instead of curling up by the fire and getting cozy to do some work, I’m drafting emails to the school board about why it’s unacceptable that the district is proposing more cuts to the Unified Arts. I’ve been wallowing in the grimness of the post-election vibe which honestly, feels pretty dark. But there’s also things like the local group we started called “Moms Who Give a Fuck.” Small but mighty forms of resistance we will continue to grow and build. Each time I feel that twinge of despair in my gut, I think back to what Akilah wrote recently about how we move forward/survive during the Trump years:
We are all somewhere on the timeline between the beginning and end of our lives, let’s make the rest of the race bearable for ourselves.
A little sadness, a pinch of heartache, and a dose of hope, because what we do next doesn’t have to be big, it just has to be something.
